Skype Finally Landed on Windows Phone


After waiting for long enough, finally, now Windows Phone (WP) users could begin to try Skype. Microsoft and Nokia, have collaborated to deliver  Skype experience which unique for WP platforms.

This Skype beta version can be downloaded since yesterday (2/26). While for the full version, the user must wait until the launch in April.

Unfortunately, Skype only available for WP 7.5 users and newly supports English version. According to Mashable, like the other versions, Skype for Windows Phone beta allows users to make free audio and video calls over 3G, 4G and WiFi.

Before its launch, Microsoft which bought Skype in May 2011 had confusing the user with a delay of the launch of this application.

In early January when Skype for WP is delayed, supposedly because Microsoft and Nokia do a thorough integration functions into the core operating system.

For the best performance of Skype for this WP, according to the application's official blog are at Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800, HTC Titan, HTC Radar, Samsung  Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash.

"This is just the beginning of Skype for WP. It will only get better, we see tremendous potential for providing  Skype capabilities to the Windows Phone to provide a great experience for you," said  the statement in the blog.
