Apple Remove Duplicator Applications

Apple has removed several applications in the App Store that imitating or similar to a successful game title. It had to be done, after the games sparked public outrage to the developer on this issue.


Some of removed applications which is the Temple Run, Tiny Wings and Words with Friends. This false application are mostly the work of developers Anton Sinelnikov. On Saturday morning, Sinelnikov had nine applications available at the App Store, including some that are still looking ripoffs from other applications.

As reported by The Guardian, Saturday (4.3.2012), brings this issue further, become public attention and called it "misleading applications." however, Sinelnikov is not alone in his efforts, like dozens of other applications from other developers have tried to be dishonest, capitalized on others success.

Last month, a developer accused Atari game maker utilizing the "special relationship" with Apple to have as many as "hundreds" of applications resemble with another games.

Apple was not alone, Google's Android platform is also facing the same problem, especially considering the lack of an official inspection process in the Android Market. The open nature of Android has even led to criticism by some content owners, developers and security companies for copyright infringement and malware issues.
