Android apps for Used on BlackBerry App World

RIM had promised that Android apps can be used on the Blackberry platform. Now, reportedly in this February 2012, the promise will be kept.

This was revealed at a Blackberry developer special site that addressed devblog.blackberry.com. There written that the developers should  immediately insert their Android applications into the BlackBerry App World.

But, according to the blog, Android applications can only be used on the Playbook with OS 2.0, or other devices that already use BlackBerry 10.

"To ensure that your Android application available on BlackBerry App World for PlayBook OS 2.0 later, it is expected to immediately send the application before Monday, February 6th, 2012," wrote that blog on Friday (03/02/2012).

But before installed Android apps creation in BlackBerry App World, the developers are required to do some modifications, such as:

Remove all the links that connect to the Android Market

Before submit an application, make sure it has compatibility with BlackBerry Playbook OS 2.0.

Make sure that your Android apps already registered on BlackBerry Runtime for Android Apps.
