Specifications for Tested Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Microsoft has just announced Windows 8 Consumer Preview Beta version to be tested for the public. Well, what specification can make this operating system runs on personal computer (PC)?.


Actually, the specifications required to be able tasting this newest operating system is quite simple and easy to installed. Especially if you are already using Windows 7, and requirement to download it, is not much different.

According to Cnet, a requirement specification for Windows 8 Consumer Preview, which are:
1. 1 gigahertz processor or faster
2. 1 gigahertz RAM for 32-bit or 2 gigahertz for 64-bit.
3. 16 GHz Hard drive for 32-bit or 20 gigabytes for 64-bit.
4. A graphics card that supports Microsoft DirectX 9 or higher.

There are also some additions that will not work without a particular specs. Because Windows 8, which supports touch features will require a touch screen monitor or a tablet. Accessing Windows Store requires an Internet connection, obviously, but also a minimum screen resolutions is  1024 x 768 px. And for the Snap application, which allow you split the screen between two applications, you'll need at least 1366 x 768 px resolution.

To begin, visit preview.windows.com "Get it now," enter your e-mail and country if you want, and start downloading the installer. It will automatically detect the appropriate version for your system. From there, you can overwrite your operating system, or create a partition to Install this Windows 8 Consumer Preview using a tool like Easeus Partition Master.

Within 24 hours after the release of Windows 8 Consumer Preview has been downloaded one million times. Of course this is a good news for Microsoft, to know the newest operating system which still in beta version is welcome.

Previously, Microsoft were reportedly has chosen Barcelona as a place to reveal what is called the 'Consumer Preview', which is the launch of Windows 8 and all indications said it would present some significant changes.

Anyone can download the latest version of Windwos 8, but Microsoft revealed that only works on PCs and laptops that running Intel Corp. x86 chips. So consumers have to be patient for a while in order to taste the full experience on ARM which compatible with tablet.

Although recently launched, but Sinofsky said, people from 70 countries have downloaded the software on Wednesday morning local time.

The beta version of Windows 8 also included email, calendar and messaging applications but there is no presence of the Office program that is part of Microsoft's dominant in work applications. But Sinofsky said, earlier this month, Office version will be included in Windows 8 for tablet.

Samsung Galaxy S II Best Mobile Phone at MWC 2012

Mobile World Congress (MWC) Celebration in 2012 finally officially closed. One of the most prestigious gadgets show in the world is to select some of the best products.

This year seems still owned by Samsung, because, this South Korean vendors had won two of the four awards that are important in the MWC 2012. The awards won by Samsung is Smartphone of the Year, won by Samsung Galaxy S II, and Manufacturer Device of the Year.

Nokia entertained with the award gained through Nokia C3 which winning the category Feature Phone of The Year. At least This is sufficient to cure the disappointment after  Nokia Lumia  800 failing to get category as the best phone.

While the category of Best Mobile App for Consumers awarded to Rovio (which seems to be the GSMA judges favorite when they also won last year) for Angry Birds Rio.

Google, again gets award for Google Maps this year as a Mobile Service for Consumers of the Year and SwiftKey awarded Most Innovative Mobile App.
