Windows 8 Consumer Preview Downloaded 1 Million Time in 1 Day

Within 24 hours after the release of Windows 8 Consumer Preview has been downloaded one million times. Of course this is a good news for Microsoft, to know the newest operating system which still in beta version is welcome.

Previously, Microsoft were reportedly has chosen Barcelona as a place to reveal what is called the 'Consumer Preview', which is the launch of Windows 8 and all indications said it would present some significant changes.

"This is the best Windows even better than Windows 7," said Steven Sinofsky, president of Windows and Windows Live Division, as reported by Reuters.

Windwos 7, a Microsoft operating system that has the fastest selling record with 525 million sold less than three years. Succeed with Windows, but Microsoft admitted that they had been miss from 'invasion' companies such Apple, Google and Amazon for computing mobile.

However Microsoft still praising this Windows 8. "It (Windows 8) is very fast and smooth to navigate UI (user interface)," said Sinofsky while showing Windows 8 on the tablet and ultra-thin laptops.

Anyone can download the latest version of Windwos 8, but Microsoft revealed that only works on PCs and laptops that running Intel Corp. x86 chips. So consumers have to be patient for a while in order to taste the full experience on ARM which compatible with tablet.

Although recently launched, but Sinofsky said, people from 70 countries have downloaded the software on Wednesday morning local time.

The beta version of Windows 8 also included email, calendar and messaging applications but there is no presence of the Office program that is part of Microsoft's dominant in work applications. But Sinofsky said, earlier this month, Office version will be included in Windows 8 for tablet.
