Valve Canceled Newest CS Cross-Platform

Valve recently announced that the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will not show the cross-platform feature (played together from different devices). Valve acts decided cancellation cross-platform is for some reason.


Previously, Valve rumored has promised cross-platform feature, which lets gamers play multiplayer on the PC or PS3 on the same server. The company revealed that the presence of cross-platform features, the PC version will not be able to get patches and updates regularly. As reported by Slashgear, Today (03/07/2012).

At first, cross-platform feature is getting good response from the fans, because players could play together via the console and PC. However, according to the technical details that revealed, it will bear a challenging proposition.

There are other issues that strengthen, the gamer on the PC will have more benefits, with using keyboard and mouse that allows faster maneuver and control action.

"This beta version proves that we want to update not only the beta version, but the game itself, given the game more often played on a PC," said Chet Faliszek from Valve.

"To do that, we need to separate the platform, so we do not paralyze other devices. So, we have removed the idea of cross-platform game that basically to make each  platform becomes stronger with not mix them," he explained.
