Android Jelly Bean optimized for Tablet and Netbook

Android Ice Cream Sandwich has only one percent of market share, but Google seems to be on the verge of releasing a replacement. Recent rumors that the next release of Android 5.0 or Jelly Bean will be unveiled in the second quarter of this year.

According to DigiTimes sources, on Tuesday (2/21/2012), quoting from a source manufacturing partners in Taiwan, Android 5.0 Jelly Bean will bring further optimization for larger screen devices, tablet and netbook computers.

One of the key features from the upcoming release of Android will be its ability for dual-boot Chrome OS. Cloud-based platform is still struggling to make a big impact and Google obviously plans to use Android which very popular to change it.

Dual-boot will also make easier Android 5.0 Jelly Bean entered the market with computer makers. Given the popularity of  Asus  Transformer Prime, there may be a niche for ultrabook with extremely long battery life and good performance, even if they do not run regular desktop OS.

We have to wait and see. Android could be announced when the Google I / O will start and if the developers of Android 5.0 Jelly Bean announcement will happen in Q2.
