Owner of several Sony Xperia phones on the market, such as Arc S, Neo V, and Ray, will heard the good news. This smart phone users now have the opportunity to taste the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Reported by Slash Gear on Friday (02/24/2012), Sony is offering early access for ROM official software (read only memory) Ice Cream Sandwich beta version. ROM is not limited for developers and beta users who have been selected. Everyone can download and embed it into their own smart phones.
However, Sony recommended that only advanced developers preferably using the software. This could mean that, there is no help if it is something bad happen after uses the software.
In order to use the ROM beta version, user needs to use the official bootloader from Sony. Using a bootloader of course means voiding the warranty.
Reported by Android Community, users only need familiar with the ADB and fastboot to get the ROM and run it, and for currently, there is no Google Apps can be gained. This means no Gmail, no YouTube, and so forth. Sony has not clearly stated whether the Android Market will be included in it, but if you're worried, you should wait for a while.
